StLouisGal 1 Posted February 18, 2008 HappyOne, Glad you are doing well. I wasn't up to going out of the house yet today. I was on my own most of the day. :cheers2: DH's idea of taking care of me is going upstairs and checking on me every couple of hours. Unfortunately my body clock didn't match most of his checks so I did most everything for myself. All in all it was a good day and I feel pretty good. Haven't taken anything for pain since last night. Take care!
conniesant 0 Posted February 19, 2008 I too was banded on 2/15 in Arizona. I live in NM and feel a bit alone and disconnected out here away from my surgeon. All of your kind words to Lesly have also encouraged me greatly. I was glad to hear that the pain that I am experiencing in my back and shoulders is normal and from the surgery. Thanks again, Connie Insurance approved 12/30 Banded 02/15 Surgeons Drs. Orris/De Barrows
HappyOne 0 Posted February 21, 2008 Connie, I have found that this forum and the people who fill it with their stories/information is a life saver. You can find just about anything you want and if it isn't here, someone will have an answer if you post the question. Good luck to you on your Quest to a healthier life. HappyOne 0 Posted February 26, 2008 :tt2:I was banded on 2-22-08 and boy does my port incision feel sore. I have the worst rumbling in my tummy and lots of diarrhea. I assume its just gas any thoughts! It's been just over a week for me (10 days to be exact) and I am still having the tummy rumbles, just not as much. I think the anesthesia slows down the normal digestive actions and once it is out of your system things start moving again which causes the rumbling. It still happens occasionally but nothing like the first 2 days. I didn't have diarrhea so I'm not too sure about that but it may just be that the only going in is liquid so that's how it's coming out. Hang in there. I was sleeping on either side by 4 days out and am pain free today. Unless I push on the site where my port is I don't even "know" it's there. I'm really surprised how well I am feeling already.
