Hi gals

quick check in. I worked yesterday with a tree company so I was logging from 8-5 and didn't have an ounce of anything left in me last night

I am the same 184.5 I suck, but tom and female issues so the 3lb bloat is gone so I'm happy.

Yes, $400 it is a smoking hot jacket, pink and black leather and Harley Davidson so you pay for the name too, but see why I am going to wait until i'm at my ultimate goal. I am getting a white coat from Old Navy this week, that is really nice too but only $90 so that will be my winter coat.

OK got to get going, omg, just realized have 5 mins to leave for the bus

Vicki,

If Kim really said she lost 55lbs the hard way she should be fired. How rude is that!

That is exactly what she said, and she told me her husband said "you don't need a band, just quit putting the food in your mouth and she said so I did and he was right! you know, the more i think about that conversation the more Pi**ed I get! What a b**** is right Val, I lost alot of weight in past years and if she keeps it off well good for her, but i seriously doubt it and she may have started a never ending battle of yo-yo dieting and gaining more and more........

I still have 35lbs to go to my goal, and I don't think I'll ever get there, eating more and exercising like a crazy person and nothing.

so I feel your pain too. I hate being home alone i think way too much and get really sad

Well, we all have lost large amounts of weight, its just keeping it off long term is what's difficult. Lets see how long she can keep it off without gaining that plus 20lbs more. Some of those women up there are straight-up B. I. T. C. H. E. S.! I wonder why they even choose to work with Bariatric patients if they have issues with surgical interventions..or whatever their issues maybe then they should choose another specialty.

Vicki, just keep working at it and i'm sure you will come up with the right eating style that will work for you. Maybe you're just at a point where your body is readjusting to what you've already lost. Don't try to diet, just eat healthier selections. What do you have the most issues with? For me its cakes and Cookies. I have'nt figured a way to lower the calories in a cake and have it still taste good but I have for chocolate chip cookies

I use white whole wheat flour for half the flour contents and replace 1/4 cup with almond flour to make it more light and fluffy and white & brown sugar blenda. The butter would be Smart Balance Light. ..much healthier dessert cookie.

BigGurl - I have to say this morning I agree with you, I did a lot of thinking and I'm still eating very healthy and 1200 or less cals... and exercising every day and nothing for a few weeks... nothing. I figure I'm stuck, or just adjusting to losing 30lbs quickly. my flab is tightening up and I just tried on a Med blouse my mom got and it was too big. So I should be happy right? I'm not going to get discouraged just keep doing what I'm doing. go to nutrition again in November and fill on December 10th.

Stay strong and don't give up! That is my best advise and what I have learned over the last 2 years. I have never gained more than 10lbs and could lose it pretty quickly, never allowed myself to above that... 10lbs was my freaking out point.

Anyway, stay strong everyone and have a great weekend.

any of you go to keith urban and sugarland? Heard he went from here to Darien Lake, it was the best show I've been to in years

I'm with u Big Gurl, I love sweets, all sweets, but cake and cookies is my favorite. Your cookies sound delicious. when u have time, post the recipe...do u use dark chocolat chips, do chocolate chips come in sugar free? I am even scared to try them cause they still have cals and i don;t know if i could just eat a few....

Makes me think about something Hoffman said to me the other day and I am getting mad all over again cause he is a man and young and ya da ya da ya da He said so how are you doing and I said I gained 3 lbs and he said well there is no calories in the air you breathe....Huh? I didn't say there was! course he said it joking, but i KNOW he meant it.....was it beat up on vicki day, did I have a tatoo on my forhead that said make me feel like sh** today or what?

Jenn, Like u always tell me, just breathe u will be ok. Medium, wow I would love to be in a medium I am lucky to fit in a x-large or 1x.

Vicki

3lbs, could have been anything, I was 187 when I went and the day before I was 184... so what can you do, shit happens.. (sorry) but it does, but you are watching and not letting it go far. I've been 184 -187 for 2 weeks but I won't let it get any worse than that and I'm not going to beat myself up for it either - you shouldn't either!

I have to get serious again, I've been slacking off and getting comfortable so i'm not losing anymore but getting frustrated too, which i can't. I hope that I can go logging more because that is a great ab workout, ok entire body workout. I measured my arms last night, have not lost anymore, but there was not much sagging around the tape. I was happy about that. I logged Thursday ad thought for sure after carrying around the hooks my arms would be beat... NOPE... yipee, my light weight workouts have paid off!

Ok enough of that... be strong and never give up!

Are you all cold over there? It is damp and cold here today and only going to be 39 on Friday... Not ready yet!

It has been pretty miserable here too, but today is sunny and 52. It seems that whatever we have today, you have tomorrow so look forward to sunshine tomorrow. Went to Ellicotville yesterday for octoberfest, rained in am but the rest of the day was good but cooler than normal. Off to Letchworth tomorrow so hoping it is clear as called for...

What the heck do you do for a living Jenn it sounds really physical?

Well, I was just working for Lehigh (you guys hear of them?) I was Super's assistant and did the site safety. I'm working on getting into construction safety full time by the spring and right now I'm working part time for a tree service logging and brush chipping. It is very physical but i love it, and even better, I love that I can handle doing it and feel good, not like I'm going to fall over.

Just did 4.5 mile walk in 60 mins... best walk yet

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
