MacMadame 81 Posted February 14, 2008 I have a dumb question. If you don't know the direct link to that document, how would you find it using the links on the Aetna site. Because I've never been able to find it that way and I've looked several times.

Because I've never been able to find it that way and I've looked several times. you go to the main site, aetna.com, then in the "search" field you type in "bariatric surgery" - otherwise it wont come up or you have to search through pages of crap. MacMadame 81 Posted February 14, 2008 you have to search through pages of crap. I have a lot of experience doing that. That site is so poorly designed... to the point where I couldn't find a search so I thought maybe they didn't have one. Anyway, thanks for the tip.
hopeinapril 1 Posted February 15, 2008 MacMadame I totally agree! I have complained about their site. It is excellent for seeing your claims and such, but anything else it sucks!
dogluvr 1 Posted February 15, 2008 They also changed the "35 bmi and *2* co-morbs" to "35 bmi and ANY of the following co-morbs..."

Because I've never been able to find it that way and I've looked several times. Search for: Clinical Policy Bulletins (CPBs) on the main Aetna web site. There is an alphabetical list for all types of most procedures. Once on the list you need to find Obesity Surgery. Here is where you will find what you are looking for. You will have questions to ask after you read thru the CPBs.
