I want it to be the middle of May now, damn it! :Dancing_wub: It's like I can see being thin and having a flat stomach right around the corner and it's killing me to wait. I know I have to wait, in order to be closer to my goal, or I risk ruining the results of the surgery. But inside, I have this gibbering voice screaming, "Gimme, gimme, GIMME!" :wink2::biggrin: I'm sure that I'll freak once it is mid-May, but right now I'd go under the knife in an utter heart beat. What makes it even harder to wait is that I know that even if I had a TT right now, I'd look so much better than I do currently. It's so disillusioning to work hard and lose half of my excess weight, and not really see it in the mirror or have many other people see it, just because I still have this damn flabby belly that I have to conceal with bigger clothes. I just have to keep that picture in my head, of being flat-stomached for the first time in my life. I think I'll go mad, otherwise. :Dancing_chief:

OHH I can so relate ! I have about 45-50 pds to go before goal and someone said OH you should start looking into Plastic Surgeon's. I think i would torture myself ! how long does our surgeon want you at goal before doing surgery ? You have about 50 lbs to go right ?

this last 50 pds to get off is SHEAR TORTURE ! I really do understand Larurend ! It will get here SOON for you . you will look SO HOT.

Hahaham, we're all like 50 lbs from goal and wanting PS. I'm waiting to see what happens kid-wise, so it's not anytime in my immediate future, but I do plan to go for it one day.

In the meantime, I could stand to have the scrotum taken off the undersides of my arms.

She said that if I keep losing on schedule, I should be close enough to goal (hopefully within 20-25 pounds, less with the skin and fat she'll remove) to have it done in May. Ideally, I'd be at goal and completely stable, but May's looking like the best time for me to have surgery, since my university semester will be over and I'll be between jobs.

Lauren, you know that I am feeling the same way right now. We just have to sit tight and wait for our time to roll around. Patience isn't one of my virtues, thats for sure.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
