Thanks for posting, I know first hand about the Lipo, it's been four weeks now and still very tender in the lipo area....ouch!

Please stay in touch and let us know how she's doing day to day.

I had it under my arms and the "flanks" as the doctor called them, the area the bra covers.

I think I was able to sleep on my back because it was even pressure, if that makes sense. Then I couldn't stand it, but for so long, not through an entire night, so I lie partial side/partial back. For the first week, I actually used a round pillow wedged in my back.

I've had my bra off now for about an hour and my back is starting to ache, so I'm off to get the "sports type bra issued at surgery" back on. I think it's the girls new security blanket, lol.

Neal, it will be an adjustment for you, I've never slept on my back, LOL. It feels like after a while you can't move. I'm a side/tummy sleeper, but have not slept on tummy yet.

I think I mentioned my doctor said sleep, regardless of position was more important.

Write your questions down, you think you'll remember, but you won't.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
