:confused2: I think i'm going back to work tomorrow. it will be 7 days since banding. i work with patients chairside. no lifting. lots of bending to look in their mouths. what was the experience like for people who went back. i feel ok. still sore in the tummy not alot of gas pains anymore. i can stand if i need to to do some work. just dont know what to expect.? any ideas. tomorrow i start stage 2. so today i start blending foods for tomorrow and the rest of the week to have on hand at work. any thoughts would be appreciated.

Do you have an option if it appears to be too much for you too soon? Do they know at work you had this done?

I would begin the next stage of foods very carefully since you will also be changing your routine at the same time.

Make sure to keep your Protein up, so you do not fatigue too easily.

Good Luck!

Hi Michelle....

You and I were banded the same day. :cursing: I went back to work today but I work in an office so all I have to do is make sure I get up and walk. I packed myself a half cup of egg drop Soup and a Protein drink and H2O of course and am doing well. I too, have some tenderness in the port area but it gets better everday. For me, I'm upgrading to "full" liquids tomorrow. Can't wait to get out of the clear stage!! You will do great and hopefully find that going back to work makes you feel more energized. Good luck!!

Amy

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
