YOU KNOW YOUR "FAT" WHEN.............

Recommended Posts

I hear ya Estela. I have to wear black dress pants at work, and for a while there, I was having to buy a new pair every month. I was wearing holes through the top of the inner thigh that quickly. Evidently the tops of my thighs just really, really like each other and want to be very close! :0) Being fat is expensive! Can't find bras to fit. If I drop a coin I come up red in the face just from the "workout" of picking it up. Look forward to swimming without shame . . ah . . that will be the day . .

When you go to the beach and are totally sweating and you have to wear a long t shirt the whole day and go in the Water with it on and have it dragging soaking wet and sticky on you all day.

When your baby mistakes your belly for your breast.

How about when your boyfriend does!

Or worse he's feeling for a nipple up high where they haven't been in while and he doesn't realize they're down low after saggin from the weight.

When your boyfriend thinks he's in the right spot down south when really he's hitting that fold between your thigh and your chachee.

After 2 years he still does these things occasionally sometimes I'm flattered that he thinks my nipples would be that high - but then just mostly embarrassed because they're not and if I had a smaller body maybe he'd never make those innocent mistakes.

when you take a bath, and drain the tub, but the Water behind you doesn't drain until you get out of the tub. does that make sense?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
