the 1st works for me. I'm going thru fellow-bander-lunch-withdrawl!

got the "thanksbutnothanks" email today for the job I wanted in IA - that i interviewed for in OH DECEMBER! oh well. and then off tomorrow to see the inlaws who give me that 'i cant believe you quit your job for that chance' vibe. oh well. I think since i'll be in Madison and its my old roomates birthday that i may just ditch the family and spend the day with him...

mandy have you decided what car you want yet? i can see you behind the wheel of the xB!

Hi Mandy & Sonia, can you tell me how long do you guys exercise for and how many days a week. I know a lot of people on LBT say they do it for almost 2 hrs a day in the gym almost 5 to 6 days a week. I don't think my old body could hold out for that long.lol It has been nice being able to talk two you girls I hope I will get to meet you soon Thanks.

Nana, I don't exercise, but I do walk a ton for work. I also have never counted calories. I also walk the dogs everyday when the weather is nice. Other than that, I have a really bad knee so working out is hard for me. ~Mandy

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
