travel_anna 1 Posted February 6, 2008 I'm hoping some of you who use the Bodybugg can answer this - I am thinking about getting the Bodybugg. But, I do a lot of swimming and kayaking. Can it get wet? Can you take it in a pool? I'm assuming I can't, but I couldn't find any information on their website. Just curious what y'all do, particularly those of you who swim or train for triathlons. Thanks. rharriet62 0 Posted February 7, 2008 You cannot get the Bugg wet. If you swim or shower, you have to take it off. I am hoping that some day they make it Water proof. However, for now, you can't get it wet. You CAN do any other exercise in it and sweat in it. I work out all the time and it gets sweaty. If I swim, I take it off. You can then go into the system online and it will say "we detected the device was off body for "X" minutes. Then, you can select the activity you were doing while it was off and it estimates your calories burned. I love my Bugg and would get one and just manually put in the stuff you do while the bugg is off. It has SO helped me stay on track and get back on the losing path! Hope this answers your questions! travel_anna 1 Posted February 7, 2008 Thanks. That is what I needed to know. I figured I couldn't go in the pool with it since you have to take it off to shower, but I didn't know you could add activities using the online system. Thanks.
