Need A Good Lap Band Fill Dr In Houston Tx Area

Recommended Posts

Garwood's number in College Station is 979-696-3700. His number in Willis is 936-856-5665. Don't have addresses, but the offices are really easy to find.

I heard that Dr. Stephanie didn't do fills under fluro. Good to hear she is now. I desperately need my band checked up. I may be dialated. I'm currently filled to the max in my band and have no more room left for a fill.

Hi, I am in Houston and I'm looking for a doctor that takes Mexico patients but uses flouro for the fills. Could you give me the list of doctors you found in the area?

Thanks!

Tina

Dr. Garwood update: New office in Lufkin Texas 936-639-2244.. He is suppose to be moving furniture in this week. Call the office, tell them you need lapband fill, they will take your information and call you back.. Nice lady on the phone. I need a fill bad!! hopefully he'll be up and running next week..

If you're new to him, tell him Kathy Caldwell sent you... He's a great doc, very kind and understanding, doesn't rush you, listens and works with you, like previously said, has a window for adjustments....

good luck!!

I see Dr Garwood as well. Love him. I had my surgery in 2003. SO it has been a while. However Dr Garwood is NOT a surgeon. He does not do the lapband surgery. He only does follow up care.

I LOVE Dr. Stephanie Eijsink, who sees lapBand patients in College Station every other Saturday (she alternates between College Station and Tyler and does LapBand fills on Saturdays only). She charges $200 (cash only) for a fill with flouro, and uses lidocaine before the needle is inserted. She is really great, and has a lapband herself, so she understands the quirks of the band. Her husband takes the appointments for her, and usually you'll need to leave a message and will get a call back within a couple hours. She is not a lapband surgeon, and will do fills on patients from Mexico. Her number is: (903)520-8847.

Does anyone know if Dr. Garwood will be using the Willis office at all? Willis would be awesome for me because Lufkin is too far. I've tried the 979 number but it's been disconnected and I left a message on the answering machine at the 936 number, however the message on the machine didn't say who I was calling so I'm not sure it was Janice.

Dr. Garwood is working at the Urgent Doc in Nacogdoches Texas most days. He is still doing fills. If you need to reach him call the clinic and ask for him 936-560-9898 or reach him at 979-575-7740. I work for him currently and came across this site while googling him and he said to put his information out there. Look forward to your calls

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
