I think it's made national news but five women were killed during a botched robbery in Chicago-area Lane Bryant store. I have had such an emotional reaction to this tragedy - seeing the beautiful faces of these victims as the news progresses. I've been sobbing all day.

Yeah it got under my skin too...especially b/c that's been my main source of clothing for all these years. It just makes you realize that crime is everywhere. :eek:

The store is in Tinley Park but the victims were from several different southern suburbs

I just saw the story on the news. So sad. My prayers are definately with the families who have lost a loved one.

My initial knee jerk reaction to this????? God, I hope it wasn't some sick, demented person intent on a hate crime against fat people. There are so many wierdos out there that kill for the stupidest reasons.

It wasn't a crime against fat people. The theory is that he targeted a store with only women so he wouldn't have to deal with men, who might fight back. He sexually assaulted some of the women before he killed them, according to news reports. He is a being with no soul.

One of the ladies that was murdered was a nurse in the town next to mine. I actually graduated high school with her husband. It is amazing how you never think you would know someone that this has happened to and now here I sit. Wow it is soooo sad!:eek:

The reason he targetted actually makes sense I guess. When I just read that he sexually assaulted them first... that made my skin crawl. Those poor ladies.

A car smashed into a Lane Bryant in a suburb of Atlanta today...where I live.

WTF is going on? The place seems cursed...
