Miss Vicki 0 Posted February 3, 2008 Hi,I have just been approved for surgery later in February. I do have questions, is it hard to stay on liquids for 6 weeks after surgery, will I be hungry?, does this really effect your brain emotionally?, will my craving for sweets go away?, does this really work? I have struggled so many years with weight loss and now it affects my health daily. I just want to feel better and have a good quality of life. Please give me some honest feedback. Thanks
magii 0 Posted February 14, 2008 Hi congrats on having the surgery, yes it will be hard to stick to liquids for 6 weeks, and yes you might find yourself getting hungry if you do just drink more. No your craving for sweets won't go away, but they may be less often than before. If you work with the band it will work, but you have to choose the right foods and excercise often. So even though at times it will be hard it will be worth the hard work to get your health back.
gilliebean 1 Posted February 14, 2008 Remember to read lables and to work your band. If you work with it and don't try to eat around it and fight it then your band should work fine
