Cerrin 3 Posted April 22, 2008 PB is a Productive Burp. It is when you are full and kinda stuck and you burp and it is kind of like a vomit...but none of the stomach acids. Kind of regurgitation. But you puke it out. Slime is when your stuck and you keep producing that thick saliva. We call it slime. Because it is thick. and it is suposed to help the stuck go thru...but it actually piles back in our throat. Hope that helps.
Desiree1970 0 Posted April 24, 2008 I'm so sorry love, I know exactly how that feels. When we eat too fast or don't chew thoroughly... or my God, even when we do we will often get the HSS's as I call 'em. Hiccups, Stuck, and Slime's. I'll share my embaressing moment because I try my hardest not to wierd or freak my dad out at all. He's a United States Marine, but such a pancy about anything "sick related" LOL. When I was leaving for my adjustment last week, I had trouble with a bean and cheese burrito stuck (flour tortilla is my enemy). While getting out of the car I coughed (I don't get down with the PB... I usually cough) and slimed all over me, all over my car seat and then all inthe driveway. I mean how do I play that off as cool when my dad is standing there watering his roses? But dad did play it pretty cool, he asked if I was okay and while I went in the house to change, he hosed down the driveway and cleaned up my car! NOW THAT'S A FANTASTIC DAD! Then Dad said he was going with me, he didn't want me driving to Orange County alone. :hurt:

altopower 1 Posted December 20, 2009 (edited) I'm so frustrated with myself. As many of you have said, we know to cut up into wee bitty pieces, eat slowly, wait between bites, to stop before we're really full. I went a long time w/o PB'ing so got kind of blase about it. But I've now had three PB episodes after one tiny fill (1 cc in a 10cc band). Today I was fine until I had beets at the end of my lunch. I felt fine, no real tightness or pressure. But w/in 30 min, the pain hit and I knew that getting it OUT would help the most. Except it wouldn't come. I've been carrying around a bowl all afternoon, spitting slime into it and I did have two BP's - but there is more that's not moving. Right now I'm sipping hot tea and hoping things relax enough. Ironically, I have an appt tomorrow with my Dr. for my second fill! At the rate I'm going, I'll be on liquids for Christmas dinner, which I'm cooking for company. ButterflyGrl 0 Posted February 22, 2010 Yeah...I feel your pain...My first incident was with a piece of a dunkin donuts sugar donut...yeah I shouldn't of even thought of it...but It was over 6 months after surgeryand it was really a dime size...It was horrible, trying to find a bag to slime in while driving...and the pain horrible!!! It has happened a few other times with chicken or steak, but I have found a crazy indicator that I found out at a support group...When my pouch is full my nose runs...funny but true. I have heard it happens to others too. As soon as I feel my nose moist, I stop and Bamm...slime is to a minimum... I have learned to listen to my body more...the hard way!
