Zicam seems to kick it for me.

Jess...snowed in lol. Poor lady... I just got out of Cleveland in time:)

Its funny how when we get 5 inches of snow now nobody even talks about it.

I had a good workout today...back at home in my home gym:) 5 mile run 1/2 mile swim.

O and 20 mins in the hot tub.

Got a haircut today and my hairdresser was all 'omg i cant believe how good you look. youve lost sooo much weight'! So that picked me up a little.

And yeah i have a hot hairdresser. When your a guy you have to have this...just to get the Shampoo (didnt even need one as id just come out the shower at the gym)...ok its true...im BAD

Had a good work out today. I'm down another pound! YEAH! I've got a head cold and am a little worried, because I can't have surgery if I'm sick! Anyone have any good suggestions for speeding this cold along? I'm taking Cold MD and EmergenC.

Zinc and Echinacea lozenges always worked for me...knocks out a cold quick, but they are hard to find in one lozenge. Sometimes you have to buy them separately and I know Walgreens has both of them.

DADDY - That is so funny about you getting five inches of snow and no one blinks. If anyone sees even ONE FLAKE here, you'd think the sky was falling! Oh and don't let the news report a half of one percent chance of snow...there won't be a bottle of Water on any grocery store shelf in the state! (I exaggerate, but not by much! LOL)

Too funny about the hot hairdresser! Yes, you ARE bad! That's why we love you so much! :)

Good workout today...shoulders. An hour and a half. I'm really CONCENTRATING on my form and taking both directions of the movement very slow and controlled. Felt great! Still babying myself a little after the injury, but it's getting better. I just don't want to get too comfortable too soon, so I'm really monitoring how I feel throughout all movements.

I hope everyone has a FANTABULOUS weekend! I may be going to a Mavericks game on Sunday...we haven't decided yet. Tomorrow is for being a bum! I may not get out of my flannels!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
