Tricare, ONLY 100lbs over wt w/ comorbidity

Recommended Posts

I know you must have your primary physician make the referral, otherwise Tricare will not approve. I would imagine that's the source for co-morbidities, but I'm not sure. When I stop and think about it, Tricare has been paying for my prescriptions for High Blood pressure and cholesterol drugs for the past 10 years. If they need more proof than that, they're really screwed up.

My surgeon's office attempted to get approval before I could get in to see my doctor for the referral, and I was denied. I finally got in to see my primary physician on Jan 31, and the surgeon's office called me Friday and said the referral is all they're waiting for. I'm anxious to get this moving!

Keeping my fingers crossed!

That's only for Tricare Prime. Tricare Standard and Tricare Reserve Select do not require referrals. Just wanted to make sure that info was out there--this stuff is confusing enough as it is!

Hi there - you can follow the link that you copied in the post - to Metlife's scale (that was the one that Tricare used when I went through). It tells you what the idea body weight is. Of course - I went through the system a while ago - they have probably thrown kinks into it now.

Good Luck!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
