Very good info Big T! Thanks again.

The air brush tanning here in my area is a technician and charges $25 for a session.

The bottle stuff still sounds a little better though... cheaper.

Kelly ~ did you have a tech. or go into a booth for yours???

Hey everyone!

Im bringing this thread up again because I have more questions about the self-tanning stuff.

Ive used the neutragena tanning foam in the past and loved it!

But recently Ive noticed that Loreal & Neutragena *both* have a new self airbrush tanning.

Anyone tried it?

Nope, but I use the Mystic tan once a week and I dont streak at all....Princess, ur suposed to wear those booties on ur feet!!! I love it, and Ive been doing it for almost 2 yrs now. If u buy a big package its really not too expensive. I would suggest buying 2 tans to start (i know its expensive to do it that way but if u dont like it at least u didnt blow 100 bucks on a package.) They should show u a video on how to put on the booties and stand so u dont streak. I also use a bottle of stuff in between tans. Clarion is THE BEST! But it is kinda expensive too and u have to go to the dumb mall to get it...and girls we all know what happens when we go to the mall to get one thing..............."ohhhhh look at those shoes............" :)

Yeah I know but then you have "slipper tan" on your feet!!! And that lotion they give you for your hands leaves your palms and fingernails blotchy.

I am still a fan of tanning the old fashioned way if you want it. But.... recently I have been appealing to the pastey pale tail aspect of life. Giving my skin a break. maybe I will start to tan again in a few years.

Michelle, do you get to pay half price now since ya lost 86 lbs? Twice a week, OMG, my skin would look like a raisin. I go in the spring, just to get a base, but I cover my head, face, and hair. I've tried to figure out a way to just tan the legs, and you oh so right, fat looks much better tanned.

I was just reading a Walgreens flier and I see that they make a MicroMist sunless tanning spray. I wonder how that works?

I also saw that Conair makes an electric sunless tanning sprayer too. You just plug it in, pop in a cartridge, and spray away! They claim that it's supposed to be safe for faces too. Anyone ever used that either?

Seems they have so many different ways to get that beautiful fake tan now!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
