I had a dream last night............I was walking in a mall and everybody I passed had on a white tee shirt that said in black letters PBing.

I think I might be losing my mind!!!

Lacy.....I know how you feel. I get banded Monday and I woke up last night at 3 AM. I was dreaming that I was in the hospital right after surgery. I wanted to roll over but I didn't want to burt myself. I was so convinced that I turned on the light and looked at my belly to see if there were any incisions. When I told my hubby what I was doing, he told me I was nuts. Hee, Hee.

I guess we have lapband on the brain!

I know it may not be funny to you, but that is so funny! Naturally you are anxious and your anxiety is finding expression in your dreams. I wouldn't read too much into it.

And those shirts really are available! Bright posted a website on them, also "pbing" bags.

Thanks for sharing! That's too funny!

Funny how our subconscious takes over. lol. When I first began exploring the Lapband and was at my highest weight (250) thinking of nothing else BUT my weight and how miserable I was. I was also under attack from a lot of candy in my workplace. So my brain and my body were really fighting one another. I had a dream one night, where I was giving someone my website addy (can you tell I sit at the puter too much?) and I even said out loud in my sleep. www.idonteatsweets.com . I WOKE myself up saying this!!! I laughed my ass off (well, not really) when I woke myself up. And that was probably one of my turning points to decide to do something about this weight. :)

I remember waking up w/my heart pounding from a dream about not getting married. But I was already married!!! 32 years later, I can tell you it was the best decision an 18 year old could have made.

You'll soon feel that way about your band and your life! It will just keep getting better and better.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
