Funniest thing I saw today....a map of the US w/ the key showing different colors meant certain religions.

Christians was on the list...but so was Baptist and at least one other Christian religion.

Buddist, Muslim, etc.... definitely not Christian...

but the last time I checked, Baptists believe and worship Christ!

What's up with that?

well that's weird. I'm baptist and most definitely believe and worship Christ!

Wonder why they would separate that group out? Where did you see this map?

CNN, FOX, MSNBC...I don't remember.

They were showing how certian states usually vote and used different colors to show religions. Of course, the south was RED for Baptist, but they listed Christian, yellow, and had a few states dotted...

just didn't make sense.

But they lost credibility with me and I turned the channel.

It is sad that anybody can claim to be a Christian. But will be much sadder when they face our Lord and deny the fact that He died on the cross for our sins, rose the third day, so we could have life everlasting with Him!!

i sure agree with you!!! Notice that ALL the canidates(sp?) running for office are saying they are Christians but i think they all believe in abortions, homosexual marriages etc. Even Hitler stated he was a Christian!!! lol Who wants to follow him??!!!

i am glad to find this forum for us believers in Jesus. i love Him.

i think (if god allows us to see) that we will all be surprised on "that day" when all is called into account...

some we believed to be christians will be told "away from me" and some we wrote off/miscategorized/mislabeled will be justified before god...

i think (i know i do) we sometimes let our denominations/doctrine cloud our view of what god really requires from his children:

Mic 6:8 He has showed you, O man, what is good.

And what does the LORD require of you?

To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Mat 28:18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Mat 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Mat 28:20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

He really made it a lot simpler than we think...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
