OMG I tried the Protein powder in with skim milk and with crystal light and I just can NOT tolerate it at all, I called the nutritionist and he said some people just can't tolerate it, So I am NOT taking it, I however am eating chicken, and egg whites like their is no tomorrow, Anyone else having this problem with the Protein Powder, and If so any other suggestions please..... I wish there was a pill we could take for it instead......

Also does everyone that has the lapband have to do heparin shots for 2 weeks afterwards???? that scares me, I have never given myself shots before..... any advise???

How many different flavors did you try? There are like a gazillion on Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, books, DVDs & more. Don't give up after one try (was it unflavored that you bought??)

The biggest reason to keep on trying is that one day you will have just the right adjustment and you may not be able to get in your daily requirements just from food.

Try samples or maybe just buy 1# containers at a time. I use my belgian chocolate in just Water and I personally think it tastes phenomenal!!

I agree the only ones i will drink is the Isopure. I have been buying it pre mixed in the bottles and you get 40 grams of Protein in one bottle. I like the apple/watermelon but i have not tasted a bad one. Has anyone tried the powder in the clear kind not the choc/van/straw, i want fruity ones, and if so does it mix well with Water?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
