RedTulips3 0 Posted January 27, 2008 Usually, the hospital gets you up and walking around soon after surgery so you don't develop clots. Also, in the hospital you will most likely be giving you a shot to prevent blood clotting. I was given a prescription for 7 days worth of injections to prevent blood clots as well. diane-south fla 0 Posted January 27, 2008 Same here, shots to stop blood clots, also leg massaging stockings in my hospital. They get you up and walking soon.
