adorkbl 156 Posted January 26, 2008 Kelle: I wasn't sure if the pill would be too big. It really is not a large pill, so I think I will be ok. I plan on starting it back up... or perhaps looking into an alternative someone suggested.
sfeiner 2 Posted January 26, 2008 L.A. You do need to get back on that antidepressant asap. Do you have a family Dr or someone you know well. See him/her and get a new prescription. I was a psychiatric nurse for many years and have seen the havoc depression can cause in people, relationships and families. If you need it, there is no reason you can't take it with the band. I bet 75% of overweight people are also depressed. Same with other addictions. People try to self medicate with food, alcohol, drugs etc. Please take care of yourself. I am sure you will do fine if you continue on the same path you ae now with your medication. Best of luck to you with your upcoming surgery!
shortgal 5 Posted February 9, 2008 There are age related groups on the forum. Search around you'll find them. You can read some of the threads by people in their fifties and sixties!
judyprude 0 Posted February 12, 2008 I'm 53 & on Prozac, Synthroid, a diuretic for hypertension, and estrogen. Capsules have to be broken open and eaten with applesauce or some such, and taste AWFUL, but the other pills are tiny and work OK.
band2008 0 Posted February 13, 2008 hey! I know what you mean! I am feeling depressed too! I had my surgery last week and none of my clothes fit ( I am hoping it is because I am still swollen ) I am not eating all that much, but I just feel like I am gaining weight and since I am still on liquids too I cant turn to food for comfort. It sucks. I have just been crying all day long. I know things will get better, but I just started back on prozac today! hope it helps and we both will feel better ! )
