Hello All, this is my first post. I am 3 weeks banded. I feel good. I will say that the second week was worse for me then the first. Maybe I tried to go back to work to soon.. Flying home (Detroit) from San Diego was terrible.. Anyway I was wondering if the bottle brush down the throat feeling, after swallowing food goes away, or if that is one of the feelings I have to get use to?

Hmmm...I never experienced that feeling? DId Dr. Lopez use the tube going down your throat for anasthesia? That could cause a sore scratchy throat for a couple of weeks. My Dr. uses a new procedure not yet in the US it is a mask to put me completely under, no tube. I did not have the feeling in my throat you described..sorry. I hope it gets better for you

I did have the tube down the throat. I only have the feeling when I eat solid foods. Even scrambled eggs hurt.

It basically feels like it doesn't want to go down 'easily', but the food doesn't feel like it is actually stuck...

scrambled eggs is one of the MOST troublesome foods for many people. you'd think it would be a 'mushy' soft food, but the texture actually causes lots of us to have pb episodes after the first bite.
