Texgirly 0 Posted January 24, 2008 I have been watching for a few weeks and it does not seem that there are any, but I had to check. I am in Victoria but our 2LP surgeons serve CC as well.

aubrie 6 Posted June 12, 2008 Hey Tex! I'm in Corpus. Dr. Chang did my surgery last November. I've been quite successful so far. I'm on the board a lot of the time. PM me if you have questions or need someone to talk to. You too Melij75!!!
KevsKat 0 Posted July 24, 2008 I'm in Corpus Christi, and was banded April 11. Dr. Glenn Griffin did my band, and I've been doing fabulous! He's a wonderful surgeon and very gentle. I'd highly recommend him if anyone needs a good band surgeon. Nice to see other Corpus people here! I just joined the forum, but have been reading for a couple months and have found great support here.
LUVCOWBOYS 0 Posted August 4, 2008 Located in CC, Tx. Surgery scheduled for this coming Friday with Dr. Glenn Griffin. Really excited. Went & purchased everything for my post-diet! Any advise?
KevsKat 0 Posted August 5, 2008 You're in excellent hands with Dr. Griffin! I was only surprised by one thing post-op: the pain at the port incision. That port is attached to the largest incision, and the first few days post-op, it really pulls and hurts whenever you move! I had a hysterectomy a few years ago and still had the elastic band from that and wore it to help keep movement of the site to a minimum. I told Dr. Griffin that he should send patients home with a hysterectomy band, regardless of their gender! LOL Otherwise, everything has gone very well with no complications. I look forward to hearing how your surgery goes!
bjblev1215 0 Posted September 23, 2008 Lots of good docs in the Corpus area. I have heard good things about Chang and McDaniels out of Victoria and know Dr. Griffin in Corpus personally and he is a very nice and caring surgeon. Nice to have options down here where as there were none a while back.
thatDEgirl 1 Posted September 23, 2008 I was born in Victoria and all my family still lives there...does that count :-)?
Kristi 0 Posted October 27, 2008 Hey there, I read your post after I asked if anyone knew Dr. Griffin. He is very nice and caring. He seems to be very cautious as well. I am ready to get this done now, but he wants to make sure I don't rush. I am just ready to begin my new life, I don't want to wait! How long did you have to wait? I am a self pay. 2girlsMom 0 Posted January 3, 2011 I'm in Corpus Christi and Dr Griffin is my doctor. I'm on day 3 of the preop diet. My surgery is Jan 14. Dr Griffin has a very strict preop and post op compared to what I've seen on these boards. 5 shakes a day of either Bariatric Advantage or sugar free carnation instant Breakfast. You can also have broth, sugar free Jello or sugar free Popsicles. For two weeks! Ugh. The Bariatric Advantage is filling but nasty. The instant breakfast tastes ok but not filling. Can anybody tell me what to expect post op? He says he does put a liitle bit of Fluid in the band. What about post op pain? Everyone go home same day? Time off from work?
