Corgi 0 Posted February 23, 2005 Hi everyone, It has been 2 1/2 years since my treatment for Cancer and am Grateful to the Lord everday that I am alive and Cancer Free. I had Lymphoma and was treated at Yale New Haven Cancer Center in CT. I'm so thankful that my Oncologist has given me the green light to have the lapband procedure. Has anyone here on the LBT board know of anyone who had cancer and then got the lapband. I did meet someone at a Seminar who had breast cancer and then got the lapband and she has been successful. lapbander081004 7 Posted February 23, 2005 Renee, Praise God for your recovery and We'll pray for as great a success with your banding. My 23 yr old daughter just had cancer surgery this past June and although its still recent she has been doing very well. She Recently had further problems as the Dr's thought she had Colon cancer. I know its hard to believe anyone would be happy to find out they have chrones but she was glad it wasn't cancer. Take care and keep us posted

La_madam 20 Posted February 23, 2005 Renee I am happy for you. Cancer hits real close to home for me. I love hearing sotires of success with this dreadful disease. I have lost a son to it and I have a son in remission ..Congratulations for beating it I'm sure you are going to be very successful with your band, this is the easy part compared to what you have endured
Corgi 0 Posted February 24, 2005 I am truly sorry to hear about your son but grateful to hear about your other son. I lost my Aunt about 4 years ago and then a dear close friend to breast cancer last year. Until it happens you or your family, it is so hard to understand, it is so ugly. But their is a God who is bigger then Cancer. I wish you peace. Renee
claraluz 2 Posted February 24, 2005 Maybe getting banded is your reward for having had to endure cancer. So glad you are better now. Nancy
