Judy - now that is good!

Ok so i'm seriously packing this weekend. So here is my question.

We have tossed around so many ideas... what is our actual plan?

Friday night, hang out, few drinks? relax, enjoy

Sat, tubin, bar/band on the grounds?

Sun, Riverwalk, shoppin, Alamo? dinner, ???

Mon, Airport at 1, maybe Breakfast and a little mor shoppin?

I am nuts and change 100000 times a day so want to make sure i have stuff for every event.

Thanks, guys. Hannah took that picture. DH is in the pic with me and it's actually good of both of us! That is WAY unusual.

Jenn, yeah, you're pretty close on the activities...Saturday is toobin, lunch/relax, shopping, relax, dinner/relax, Gruene Hall or the bar that's on our B&B property, then relax some more.

Sunday is check out by 11:00 (i think), head to SA, lunch at Mi Tiara in the mercado, check in to hotel, relax, Alamo, Riverwalk/relax, dinner, relax, ghost tour (for those who want), relax.

Man, we're gonna be relaxed!!

Tan for me Jenn--I am whiter than the screen you are reading this on!!!!!

I thought about going, but my PS commented on the fact that my skin not being tan was such a good thing.....you know how Dr.'s are! I thought I would stay pearly white til after my surgery, then do some of my recovery time in the backyard!!!! LOL

So I am going to have to bring a vat of sunscreen for the river!!!

LOL

funny you say that, last year my dr told me tanning was no good, stop...don't do it....

this year he says that was really good for your mental state... get over there ... run... LOL

That was why I only went 2 times a week, but i was out in the sun and since it has been raining for 10 days now, I have faded so i'm going to go a few times the next couple weeks to get ready for our trip....

No sun screen for me.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
