that is so funny! I can just see it. Have you ever made them where you float the bailys on top in a shot glass. it works even better when chilled.

 Jenn-were you are bartender in this life or a former life?! LOL The drinks you talk about all sound yummy the way you describe them....and I hardly drink at all but hearing you makes me want one!

Nah, took the course but never worked. Use to drink way too much - but the things I drink now are not terribly strong (or not like drinking straight tequlia) and very yummy.

I like creating drinks at home that I try out - and I love my starbucks iced coffee that is all layered. so give me a yummy pretty drink and i'm all over it

I made up my own drink, my dad loves it, whenever we have a get together he makes me make it..

A whole quart of chocolate chip ice cream, 1/2 bottle of butter schnapps, 1/4 bottle of bailey's, and 1/4 bottle of vodka.. blend it all in the blender. Makes a darn good milkshake!

I actually love martini's now.. but when I looked at calories in vodka, I've been trying to stay away. I assume all alcohol is high calorie? I mean 1oz is like 200 calories.. 1 martini.. and they don't last that long!!

I don't think I've had the floating bailey's, or if I did, I didn't notice.. I shoot them so I don't look into it. I do like goldschlagger though if I'm looking to get drunk!.. mmm mmm.. I like the gold flakes, it makes me drunk uber quick, and it doesn't burn like most alcohol does for me.

Anyone going on the trip, if you need proffessional hair products I can get them for you wholesale and then bring then with me. Let me know what you need. There is just two lines I can't get I think and that is Aveda and Lanza. I don't mind getting this at all. Plus I am planning on shopping in Houston so will bring a bigger suitcase.

Terry, don't know about that. Believe it or not I have not heard of it, I went to the website and it sounds like it is one of those places that just carries it exclusively, like it is just a bumble and bumble salon, but I will check it out and see. Thanks for the link!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
