Hi Dolly,

Yes, they are the blue/white capsules 30 mg. Do you have to drink something hot like coffee or tea when you take them? I heard drinking something hot opens up the band.

Thanks for the info.

Alice

Yes, it is an anti-depressant. It's newer and also works on aches and pain in your body associated with depression. Also for me it hasn't made me eat everything in sight like other anti-depressants.

I take Cymbalta and the pharmacist said you cannot open up the capsules. I have no problem in taking them even though my band is pretty tight right now.

I take Cymbalta 60mg capsule and have no problems but I was just banded on 1/3/08 and have no fill yet. But yes they should not be opened.

Hi there - I am on Cymbalta too, 60mg.j THEY CAN BE OPENED. All the capsule does is dissolve in your stomach anyway. It is NO different if you open it. All I do, is open up the capsul, put the granules on the back of my tongue and take a drink of juice. I cannot taste it at all! My doc said not to take the pill. I think I could without a problem - but I didn't want to try it.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
