Skinny Latte from Starbucks - 10g Protein!

Recommended Posts

This weekend I stopped at a Starbucks and wanted to try that new Skinny Latte.

It's 90 calories for the tall (smallest size) and 10g of protein!

I got the vanilla, and it was YUMMY! 5 thumbs up!

Who needs a nasty Protein Shake? :rolleyes2:

I just love the skinny lattes. Yummy! Now I have a good reason to go to Starbuck's.

No idea why she should gve you a look, but that's her problem.

Is a skinny latte and the same as ordering a non-fat latte? I usually order a Decaf venti non-fat triple shot latte (although lately, I've been sticking to straight decaf coffees for my daily fix. It can get expensive after a while :rolleyes2: )

It's Starbuck's branding at it's finest. Just a skim latte with sugar-free Syrup. They just found a great way to market it with a cute name.

I've been ordering them as "tall, nonfat, sugarfree" for a long time and love em! The Vanilla reminds me of eating marshmallows :-)

I tried the cafe mocha yesterday and it was quite good for 90 cal.

I'm psyched! A grande mocha has only 130 calories and about 12 grams of Protein. Guess where I'm going tomorrow!

Hah hah.. no one gave me looks, I didn't even think about it. They had tons of signs for the 'skinny latte'. I wondered how they made it so low-cal, and from taste I did not realize it was sugar-free Syrup. Very impressed.. any sugar free syrups I've tried TASTE like sugar-free syrups.

Watch it be they just didn't make mine skinny.. haha!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
