I ate a chicken taco earlier today and had a slight pb episode, then I felt fine. Now that I tryed to drink some juice it will not even go down. It has been about six hours since I ate. I have already left a message with my doctor, but is there any other suggestions. I have so much pain.

Most docs reccomend after a PB to stay on liquids for 24 hours, you are most likely experiencing some swelling in your esophaguss from the PB which is causing some discomfort. Try drinking some hot tea, hot liquids seem to help to relax and open you up a bit..sip slowly

I moved this thread to the Support section so more people will see it. Banded, it sounds to me like something is still blocking your stoma. Time will take care of this as the item dissolves, or eventually it will come back up. liquid will help, but you MUST take it very slowly. Good luck! This is an unpleasant bandster rite of passage, but the end result will be that the next time you eat a taco you'll probably be eating less of it. And that's the whole point, right?

This should have been definitely something you came across in research phase of the decision process.... but in any case, I am pre banded and from what I can gather it is sort of like a chunky burp that gets a little caught. And has the same reaction as a baby spitting up after a meal. I hear that it is "uncomforatable" but not painful but yes, I think it is something you would want to avoid.

I am just trying to help with the answer to that even though I have not had the pleasure of experiencing the whole PB feelings. But believe me, I am making a list from what everyone else is saying and just making my own "be careful" list of foods. Try doing a search for PB and a ton of things should come up. (no pun intended)
