kll724 3,055 Posted September 24, 2010 :thumbup:Finally!! A 'sixties' group and I learned today that I will be banded on 10/18! I am so ready.:lol2::biggrin: I love to read everyone's posts. It seems like I learn something new with every post I read. Keep the advice coming. I have a friend that was banded about two years ago and I try to listen to what she says. She did tell me a secret for whaen something gets 'stuck'. Sip on pineapple juice (6 oz.). It will take a little while, but it will work. Thank you all for being here. It really makes a difference. Welcome, Pitpat to the journey of a lifetime! Good luck, and feel free to join our group here. We are all on the same journey, some have been here longer, but we are all here to help or co-miserate with you. Welcome aboard. Karen(kll724)
playermimi 0 Posted September 24, 2010 welcome PitPat, This is a great site. I am doing well, had my staples out and feel so much more comfortable. I am still on mushies but can eat tuna, egg and chicken salad. I have found some great pureed Soup recipes and have been testing them out. Anyone have any good ideas for the next stage . I am almost afraid to start eating solids again. You guys are terrific!

kll724 3,055 Posted October 6, 2010 Hi all, Surgeon rechecked my band, today. The placement looked fine under floroscope. So, he replaced some of my fill. I asked for 1 cc, I think he put 2 1/4. He said if I start pb'ing again, I should call him. He doesn't think I should loose anymore, but I don't want to gain, either. I am happy with my loss, and if I do lose a 1lb or 2, it wouldn't be so bad. Loving life, now. Karen (kll724)
playermimi 0 Posted October 6, 2010 Hi Kll. glad your feeling better. Its funny how each doctor does the same procedure but in a different way. My doc won't give a fill until your six weeks post op. I have lost weight but it's not because of the band. It is teaching me self control though and let me just say I need some of that. Keep up the good work! Also, Pitpat how are you doing? I had been thinking about earlier tonight. How are you? Tell me everything! I'm still set for 10/18. I wish it was already behind me. It seems like forever since I started the prep but I know part of that was me waiting for the baby to come. So......it was worth waiting.LOL. Please fill me in on what's been going on with you. I'll be waiting to hear. Take care!
