Fun Thread - Screen Names

I want to publicly apologize to Jamie for pointing out that her name was spelled wrong. That was stupid and judgmental of me. I'm not perfect, and I make typos all the time. I'm ashamed, so Jamie, I am really, really sorry. Friends?

you are so easily forgiven here, DeLarla. I'm sure Jammin Jamie will post soon and make you feel silly for being ashamed, and as soon as she does, you have to promise to let it go. OMG if only I could take back some things...we all feel that way

My stripper name would be Jenny Kenny. Or Sissy Kenny. My DH would like something like Conchita Bonita, since he likes that spanish "Caliente" show and big ethnic (spanish or black, he's not picky) butts. He has his trashy side. Thank GOD he likes big butts, cuz this Band I'm getting will help with every part of me but that. I could weigh 110lbs and still have a big butt.

Thanks Kim. Paula, I want your stripper name! That's a great one. Hey, Jamin Jamie is a cool name too! People should come to LBT to name their babies.

(And just for fun, his nametag said that his middle initial was NMI, as in "no middle initial.")
And this was at an institute for higher learning... PRINCETON no less!! lol

**shakes her head in disbelief**

LOL

I get lots of reply emails at work addressing me by my last name as though it's my first - even though me SIG line is first/last, just like everyone else's, AND my email address is first/last, just like everyone else's in the company... I'm so tired of typing: "FYI - my name is Donali." lol Sometimes I just want write them back and address them throughout the email by their last name...

"Hi Smith -

Thank you for your response."

:)

Hi,

My story is not so exciting. My name is Barbara Anne like the Beach Boys song. Unfortunately, its a popular name and people were confusing me with other Barbara's on multiple boards. So I adopted Babs in TX. I accidently got bumped off this board and couldnt figure out how to get my old screen name back. So hence I am now known as "BabsyinTX. Other than the internet, no one actually calls me Babs!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
