Just curious, what kind of pain were you in. I had a fill 10 days ago and I am getting pain in between my shoulder blades. I finally called the doctor, and they said it was trapped air and that it should be subsiding soon. I can tell you though, it is indeed pain and I don't like it. So, I guess I'm kind of where you are. I'm thinking about getting a slight unfill and just having to use a little more willpower. I am going to wait until at least Wed 1/23/08 because that will be two weeks since the fill. I hope you hang in there and we'll both have to be asking ourselves which of the two circumstances we are willing to live with.

You don't have to have fills in .25cc increments. My doc will do them in .1cc increments. When you get as full as you are, that makes a huge difference. Discuss this option with them. You should not be feeling so hungry...I'd go back and discuss it with the doc.

I agree. I was too tight at 3.0. Now I am at 2.6... haven't got onto solid foods yet so I'm not sure what my restriction is. (I was full today after eating about 1 cup of refried beans.) But I do agree with rharriet62. If you are on solids and feel like you are eating too much and you are hungry, etc., you can get a fill of .05 if you want!

How long has it been since your last fill? I'd wait about 4 weeks after a fill to decide if it's not tight enough.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
