Nymphs 1/17/08 What are you eating today?

Hope everyone is having a great evening!

Breakfast: 1 egg, 1 slice of cheese & 1 slice of light oat bran bread & 1/2 orange

Lunch: NutriSystem Rotini & Meatballs, 1 tbsp grated cheese & 1/2 cup of brussel sprouts.

Snack: 9 All-Bran Crackers, 1 oz lean deli ham & 1/2 orange

Dinner: 3oz of Meatloaf, 1/2 cup of GG Nibblets corn & 1/2 cup of broccoli & 1/4 cup of brown gravy.

I was a little hungrier today so need a snack between lunch & dinner.< /p>

B'fast:

One packet regular instant oatmeal with 1/2 packet apple & cinnamon oatmeal made with Water and topped with 3 tbs of skim milk.

Lunch: Lean Cuisine: Ground beef with elbow macaroni.

Cup of tea

Bottle of Special K Protein Water.< /p>

Dinner: 1/2 slice Turkey meatloaf, 1/2 stuffed shell and 4 tbs rice.

I like this thread. It gives me some ideas of foods to try. I am such a chicken and afraid to try out my band on certain foods. Have yet to eat a single nut! FEAR! But it keeps me in check.

Breakfast 1/2 cup of Quaker weightcontrol Oatmeal Maple and Brown Sugar

Mid Morning Protein shake chocolate unjury - powder with Skim Milk 8 oz

lunch - tuna salad - 4 Triscut Garlic Crackers

Afternoon Protein Shake chocolate Unjury - powder with Skim Milk 8 oz

dinner - 6 scallops broiled - broccoli - cualiflower medley steamed 1 TBS

9 glasses of Water

This is a great thread, now I can have new ideas:

Breakfast - 1 egg

Isopure Protein Drink

lunch - 8 Crackers with tuna Fish

snack - Wheat thins - reduced fat - 4

dinner - Cornbeef 2 oz. sweet potato

Snack - Blue Bunny, no sugar added icecream (90 cal)

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

      Woohoo! I have 7 more days till surgery, So far I am already down a total of 20lbs since I started this journey.
