Warning, for women only, wierd body issues

Body Issue 1:

This morning in the shower I realized that my belly flop/apron/deflating stomach/etc is getting really deflated, looks like a beat up loaf of uncooked bread. Anyway, I never paid a whole lot of attention to it before but my pubic area is still really fat and chubby. I look like a Ken doll. Ok, I know this is not normal what so ever. Do I need to call my obgyn, or has it been this way. I don't want to ask DH because I know he'll end up laughing about it. It definately doesn't look like Jenna Jameson there or any other woman in her line of work. Am I normal?

Body issue 2:

So then I'm looking in the mirro as I dry off and realize my nipple are pointing to the floor. This is something new as they used to be where they were supposed to be. What is going on?

Thanks!

Leena, what you are describing is normal given extreme weight loss. They can actually do Lipo on your privates in that area if it still remains huge there. I like you have the deflated loaf although I am still 30 lbs from goal. I'm sure it will be worse once I lose the rest of my weight. I do plan on having a Tummy Tuck at the very least. You are doing gret with your weight loss. Keep up the good work.

Doesn'ts ound abnormal for obese women. We get mean cases of FUPA. Do I need to call my obgyn, or has it been this way. Umm are you seriously asking us if your pubic area has been that way??? I don't want to ask DH because I know he'll end up laughing about it. It definately doesn't look like Jenna Jameson there or any other woman in her line of work. Am I normal? No one who is morbidly obese is going to look like Jenna Jameson. Labia get fat, too.

Your skin has been stretched, and lost its elasticity, and is not shrinking back into shape as your boobs have gotten smaller (boobs are full of fatty tissue, so as you lose weight, you will probably lose boob too).

I feel your puffy mons pain sister...and the boobs pointing southward pain as well. I did, however, nurse 3 children for 14 months, 20 months and 20 months respectively...so I figured they were going south anyway!! :pray2:

Saggy but healthy...always better in my book!

Thanks julie, atleast I know I'm not walking around with some freakish looking privates, atleast not more freakish looking than others my weight or former weight.

I'm thinking a Tummy Tuck may be in my future at some point. I didn't realize they could Lipo there though. That's good to know.

oh yes, my "mons area" looks like to put it bluntly, a ball sack.

the 'fix' for this is called a 'mons lift' and i am getting mine lifted with my TT surgery in 41 days.

my poor poor 'girls'. tube socks with tennis balls in them. nothing that a good bra wont fix for now.

Wait until you lose more and your stretch marks tend to fan out with a ripple effect. Not pretty. It's okay, your boobs hanging down over the poking out ripple effect of stretch marks combined with a little breeze... who needs a fan?

Think of a honeycomb. If you took honey out of every other hole in a honeycomb it would tend to collapse upon istself and honey would be squished and moved out. ;o) Same idea.

Lovely, isn't it?

Maybe the moral of this story is that when your boobs actually can fan your stomach stretch marks, that is a clue that it's growing near to have plastic surgery. ;o)

We are just like men - all our bits look different - there is no 'normal'.

All women in girly mags get their bits airbrushed to make them look 'normal'. And porn stars get their bits surgically altered to look 'normal'.

Yes, you are 'normal' for you.

OMG -- it hurts to LOL!!! (I was in a high impact rear-end collision on Friday and hurt all over!!!) But I couldn't help but LOL at your description!!! I still have a LOT of weight to lose, but am beginning to fear my extra skin may be getting tangled around my ankles before I hit goal and am considered for a TT.

I'm so excited for you -- the countdown begins! -- and can't wait to follow your progress!!

Nana<---dreaming of the day she'll be past all of the surgeries!!

Hey, Rain, me too!

I remember at 18, in the maternity ward following my first delivery a cranky nurse who kept getting me out of bed to put on a bra so my breasts wouldn't sag -- I finally flashed her -- lifting my gown over my head to show her they already sagged!!! Seriously, I passed the pen test in 4th grade!!!

At 45, after FOUR stints (totaling 7.5 years!) as Dairy Cow for my progeny they are definitely TROPICAL in locale (nearing my personal Equator!) By the time I reach my goal weight -- they could be nearing my personal Antarctic!

OMG, the "Dear Abby Pen Test". I remember it well. "Dear Abby, do I need to wear a bra?" "You do if you can put a pen under your breast and it stays in place."

I remember how sad I was when I could keep a pen in place with my BELLY. No one sells a "belly bra".

Thanks for the walk down memory lane....

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
