Angelica 1 Posted January 17, 2008 So, I just wanted to say, whomever mentioned Lump Crab meat on this board a few weeks ago is awesome, and totally correct, that stuff is GREAT. 45 Calories per serving, 10 grms of Protein, its a nice little Breakfast for the people who can eat in the morning. I dont cook, I dont know anything about flavoring things, I barely know how to use a microwave, so can anyone give me suggestions on how to jazz it up a little bit and keep it as low cal as possible? -A
flipbarnett 0 Posted January 18, 2008 I also like the crab meat. I buy the Flaky or Chunky Kroger brand. I had a cup for a snack today with a little ranch dressing. I have put it in salads as well.
MamaJava 1 Posted January 18, 2008 I love the stuff! My favorite thing to do is mix it with a tiny bit of light mayo, throw in some chopped onion and stuff it into a whole wheat pita with tons of shredded lettuce. Mmmmm! Enjoy!!!
kimsretro 0 Posted January 18, 2008 Oh yummy, this sounds great. I will have to give it a try.
LovingWhatIs 0 Posted January 18, 2008 Crab meat Rocks! Yeah, I started a thread a few weeks ago about it. I was shocked and happy to discover what a perfect food it was. I have to get some Fluid out of my band before I can eat it again. Out of the blue, it got too tight. I suspect it was because I went up in a small plane, my ears were popping like crazy and my band hurt. Been tight ever since. Someone told me that is impossible that a flight caused a tight band, that the cabins are pressurized, but if it doesn't flucuate somewhat, why would my ears pop? I have also heard some say it happened to them. Who knows. ANYHOO! Crabmeat. Yummy. I have been putting it in Soup for now and then I can get it down. LOVE 2 YOU ALL! NanaRenan 0 Posted January 20, 2008 Is that the crab meat in the cans? Where do you find it? Help! I buy mine in the fresh seafood market section of the supermarket. Either in a pouch or a plastic tub. I know there are cans on the aisle with the tuna and Salmon, but I've never tried it.

Cerrin 3 Posted January 23, 2008 I dont eat the kind from a can. but I love the kind from the bag. little bit of garlic salt over them ummmmm But I love the flavor of them with nothing too when I need a bit of Protein and dont feel like eatting
losingjusme 12 Posted January 23, 2008 cerrin, i've never found real crab meat in the bag. what brand is it? is it very $$? the 'tub' i get costs about 15 for a tad over a pound i believe.
Cerrin 3 Posted January 23, 2008 It is one I get from a natural food market. It is their brand. it is expensive But when I am in a rush I will get the immitation because the Protein is in good quantity. and calories is not too much.
losingjusme 12 Posted January 23, 2008 hmmm... i'll have to look for the real bagged. imitation just doesnt work for me, its about 35 grams of carbs a serving. :wink2:
Cerrin 3 Posted January 23, 2008 I dont really pay that much attention to carbs. I try to keep them from not going to much over my Protein in fitday. but I dont know how many your suposed to have or what low really is.
losingjusme 12 Posted January 23, 2008 LOL ... and i dont worry about Protein. as long as i get a minimum of 60g in a day, im good. if i shoot up to 100 for a day, all the better. i need as much Protein as i can get with my upcoming plastics. that's the beauty of the band. you can pick a plan that works for you and stick with it. :wink2:
Cerrin 3 Posted January 24, 2008 So are you super excited about PS? I would love to see some before and after pictures of it. It is something I incredibly want to have done. I am hoping I wont need to much but in reality I am sure I will need to have plenty.
