footballmom104 0 Posted January 17, 2008 Hi - My BMI is 39.9 and will probably be a little lower by the time I have surgery due to the diet and exercise regimen the surgeon has me on now. Did many of you have problems with loose skin after you lost your weight? I expect to have it on my belly, where probably 90 percent of my excess weight is, but my arms, face, etc, aren't all that big -
justmel1957 1 Posted March 5, 2008 Good question. I too would be interested in any replies. I should be scheduled soon-hoping for March. BMI of 37. I just saw a friend of mine who had the bypass surgery. Has lost 100 plus pounds. She has been obese since her teens (40 years). I was shocked and how loose her face skin appeared, especially under her eyes. I'm hoping will only about 70 pounds to lose, it won't be nearly as bad! nume130 0 Posted March 20, 2008 I have loose skin everywhere. Arms, a bit on my stomach but especially my legs. I hope some will resolve but I know I'll need an inner thigh lift and LBL. Oh well, it is still all good. I will take being a size 10 with loose skin over 1x any day.
pjd3253 0 Posted June 9, 2008 I saw your message after I had sent mine about this subject - my BMI was 31.2 so not exactly high so I had to self-pay - I am so big around my stomach area that I actually thought I may have a mass or something wrong but I have been checked out from head to toe - my arms are slightly too large but mainly just not toned - same with my legs - from the back I don't even look overweight but when I turn around I have this huge stomach that starts right under my breasts and continues down - almost like I am 7 months pregnant - I have been very depressed about it - not sure why the weight is not more evenly distributed - I have already started thinking of myself in smaller clothes. I am counting the minutes until my surgery on the 27th. I have to travel a lot with my husband and we have to entertain clients at nice restaurants so I eat more when we have to do that - I am so tired of feeling that so full feeling that you think you may bust. Sorry to vent.
Jachut 487 Posted June 9, 2008 I had a BMI of 35 and I dont have a huge problem with loose skin. But I am definitely not tight and smooth all over either, I do look like a 40 year old who has had 3 babies. Ande my boobs are completely wrecked, all they are is loose skin! But tummy tucks and such I dont need to consider. I'd look GREAT if I had one but the expense, risk and scarring are way overkill for my soft though flat tummy.
