What happens if you do not drink enough Water? or the 64ozs required? I feel like I am drinking all day long. I'm still in the sipping stage.....:speechless:

Your band turns to dust. ;o)

Just do the best you can. Try your very best to get it all in, it gets easier.

Constipation can be a problem for many and the Water greatly aids that. It also helps to wash out the fat that you're loosing. Try your best to drink, drink, and drink.

If I don't get my fluids in (I don't say Water, because I do a lot of SF Decaf iced tea) my weight loss stalls....good enough reason to keep me drinking!!!

Keep sipping away, it will become habit, and get easier!

Went for my 1 week post-op visit today and we discussed Water in group. That is exactly what everyone said...your weight loss will stall. Good information to know....I will keep on sipping.......Does anyone else have a support group with their doctor or surgery center? Mine is sooo great. We all joined the local College exercise program and was able to register under the special rate of $50.00 a semester and we all go after group on Wednesdays and several other times a week. We also do many other activities together including our doctor. He has been very supportive and active in all of his patients. I truly believe that is what is going to make a difference in being successful. :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
