kmytime2008 0 Posted June 18, 2009 Regrets? Yes, I have one. That I did not do the LAPBAND years ago. It is the best decision I have ever made. Well, other that marrying my husband, that is! Never will look back and think why did I do that. Have a great week everybody. I am!!!
bandster_1007 1 Posted June 22, 2009 i'm gonna be honest. i think i should have saved $10,000 and seriously just did a half a quarter diet until my stomach adjusted. now, i'm sure i'm allusioned because i do have the band but the last activity was 2 unfills about a year or so ago. and i had lost no weight until 2 months ago. i went from 230-190 in 2 months. and i did it because i don't crave ice cream, sweat tea, sweat treats, sweat anything anymore, and the only reason i don't is because my hormones are finally balanced. if you are a sweet eater at all (even sweet tea 2 x a day) the lap band may be slow for you. but good luck on the journey
Lana24 10 Posted June 23, 2009 Glad to be on this journey, wish I had this option sooner.
SlimSadie 0 Posted September 6, 2009 I had it done in April of 2008. It doesn't work. If I exercise and watch my diet closely, i lose weight. but the band really doesn't do sh!t. Wish i never did it- waste of money and another disappointment. Lost 20 pounds total in the first 2 months and never another ounce.

RivkaLittle 0 Posted September 27, 2009 No regrets. Seven months out, 65 pounds down. Surgery has definitely brought emotions to the fore I wouldn't have otherwise dealt with, but I consider that a plus even though they're painful. It's hard not to have food to turn to when things are rough. It was much harder to be nearly 300 pounds and tring to live my very active life.
shellmc 0 Posted April 22, 2010 I'm 34 and 270lbs I want this done SOOOOOO bad!! Iv'e gone back and fourth with the idea and I now know this is the best thing for me to do to get my life back on track and to be healthy again. ANY HELP IS NEEDED!!!
RivkaLittle 0 Posted April 22, 2010 I am 14 months out. I am 105 pounds down (having started at 290). I can honestly say I have had exactly two bad days in relation to the band. Both stuck incidents. Both really bad, but neither lasted longer than 24 hours. In both instances, had I done a little more research, I wouldn't have suffered as badly. Overall, I am SO happy I did it. mwlj_2010 1 Posted April 29, 2010 Secondly, the constant gurgling in the chest is just flat out annoying. Nobody told me that this was going to be a permanent situation, and it's caused some socially awkward moments too. Heck, I've had people in the next office ask me what that sound was! Does this happen to everybody that is banded?
