apeters 1 Posted August 14, 2008 Hi Maggie: Sorry for the delay in responding, just logged back on and saw the message. I am almost 5 months out and down 65 pounds. I plan to wander into Onerderland sometime soon! The process has gone well; having to learn new habits or suffering the consequences. I found reading a lot of posts to be very helpful. What's great about this site is how nicely everything is grouped. I read a lot of stuff online and purchased a few good WLS books : Fighting Weight by Khalila Ali and Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies. I like lots of information and all of that helped. Be sure to post as you move through the process and be sure to post with any questions. Take care, Anita
maggiehpp 0 Posted August 14, 2008 Hi Anita, Thanks for the response and the info. I also have learned so much from this site, and also from the chat room where I can get answers to many questions. Congratulations on your 65 lb. loss!! You must be feeling really good about that. Have you found the new way of eating and drinking difficult to adjust to? I've always been a fast eater (comes from working and trying to squeeze in lunch and shopping in 1 hr..lol). I went for a cardiac catheterization yesterday. I was shocked (and very happy) when Dr. Choo said my arteries were clean as a whistle!! I have such shortness of breath after very little exertion that I was sure I would have to have several stints, if not worse. Dr. Choo is so nice and said he would get my clearance for surgery right out to Dr. Farhan at Hurley. So, I'm hoping to get a lapband surgery date before very long. At least, I'm getting closer. Thanks again, maggie
