hsbeach 0 Posted January 15, 2008 This may sound like a stupid question, but does anyone have any recommendations as to a good bathroom scale?
want2beme 2 Posted January 15, 2008 I asked the same thing about 1 month post surgery, on this site! I got a great recommondation and I love my scale! At Walmart, buy the Weight Watchers brand scale. Very accurate! I love it.
momlambert 77 Posted January 15, 2008 I asked the same thing about 1 month post surgery, on this site! I got a great recommondation and I love my scale! At Walmart, buy the Weight Watchers brand scale. Very accurate! I love it. I use the Weight Watcher's scale (but NOT from WalMart since I refuse to shop that store) and it is great. You can program it and it will show you your weight loss or gain each time you weigh plus your fat index. There is room to program 4 different users, too. AIvie 0 Posted January 16, 2008 for those of you with the weight watchers scale. I don't want my family to know how much I weigh until I lose my weight does the scale only show your weight when you use it or can they go back and check my weight when Im not there? momlambert 77 Posted January 16, 2008 for those of you with the weight watchers scale. I don't want my family to know how much I weigh until I lose my weight does the scale only show your weight when you use it or can they go back and check my weight when Im not there? The scale doesn't show your weight--just the change in your weight and your current weight. So, if you programed your info into user1, for example, they could push that button and it would get ready to weigh "you." If nothing gets weighed it just goes away. BUT, if they were really curious, they could weigh themselves in your program and see the difference in weight loss (it says "-60 lbs." or whatever the difference would be in your last weight and their weight) and they could add the 60 lbs. to their current weight and figure out how much you now weigh. They'll never be able to see your beginning weight. Of course, you would know that they had done that because the next time you get on the scale it would say "+60 lbs." If I were you, I would program myself as user 3 or 4 (less likely for them to use those "by mistake"). Then tell them that to weigh themselves, they just tap the scale in the middle, wait for it to get ready, and step on when it shows 0.0. It won't show them their fat index or the change in their weight but will show them their current weight. Hope this isn't too confusing and that it helps. Good luck! LynneB 0 Posted January 16, 2008 I just bought an awesome one today from bed, bath&beyond. It was $99 & it measures weight,BMI, body Water percentage, daily caloric intake and bone mass which measures Calcium and Vitamin intake. You program it to your exact weight, height and age and it keeps a running log of the last 500 times you step on it so you can track differences day by day. It is called a Tanita InnerScan Body Composition Monitor. Its really simple to use and understand, I love it!!
LynneB 0 Posted January 16, 2008 This one is also like the weight watchers scale momlambert described, you can clear the log or program it for others to use and hide the last reading.

CountingtheDays: Do you know which model you purchased, i.e., BC573, BC533, BC534 or BC551. They all vary in prices. Good luck on your banding next month. I had mine on Jan 8. I feel pretty good so far. Howard
