I have another one that's hilarious, but it's not mine, it's my mom's.

She is terrified of vampires. She has nightmares about them all the time and while she knows they aren't real, when it's dark and she hears bumps in the nights....VAMPIRES!

Well, my sister told her that vampires have OCD (I think she got that idea from X-Files) =), so, my sister told her if a vampire comes into your room and you throw down a box of little somethings in front of him, he'll have to pick it up before he attacks you so it gives you time to get away. SO, my mom, (who really is an intelligent, rational woman), put a jar of buttons next to her bed..to throw at any vampires that might attack her in the night. lol

Thank you thank you thank you!! I am not a freak!! Here are only a couple of mine...

I cannot eat meat that I have ever touched raw. Not even after it is cooked.

I HATE nail files. Hearing filing or having my nails filed makes me sick.

I cannot look at my spoon or fork, or anyone elses when they are eating a dairy product.

My quirk is that I can only eat one thing on the plate at a time. In other words, eat all my meat, then the potato, then the veggies. Now my quirk isn't showing as often because if I have meat I can't fit anything else in. I don't like my food to touch either!

My other quirk is that I like to wear two pairs of socks at a time. One tight pair, and a cushiony pair over them. One of the pairs hugs my feet, and the other one cushions my walking.

I'll stop at that list, but I'm sure that I have many more.

This is very entertaining.

Hey, you clown fearing people. The first, and only time my daughter went to circus was with my mother in law. My daughter peed all over her lap because the clowns scared her so bad.

Thanks for the laughs.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
