pattigail 0 Posted January 12, 2008 My name is Pat and I was banded Nov 15, 2006 by Dr Bhoyrul in San Diego. I lost 40 lbs pre-op during the 6 months previous on a medically supervised diet which showed I was able to change my habits. Then since banding I have lost another 60 lbs. I feel great. And now it is no longer an all consuming STRUGGLE to keep the weight down.

shortgal 5 Posted January 12, 2008 Thanks for sharing your success. Too many banders post the early few months when struggling to get the right restriction etc. and that's what the soon to be banders or newly banded see. It's great for them to read about a success. A year out, one 100 pounds and no more struggling with weight! Hope I'm there a year from now, too!

Kat817 19 Posted January 13, 2008 Isn't it wonderful for food not to be the daily struggle it always was? Not to have the love/hate relationship with it--I too love my band!!! Kat
