puggylady 0 Posted January 20, 2008 I was banded on 1/15/08. Each day gets better. The 2nd day I was crying wondering the the hell I did to myself. I was in so much pain and full of gas that would not move. I have lost 5.5 lbs. so far.Much better now and was having a bad day. My pain and gas seems to get better each day. Still very tired. Can't wait to eat something solid. I think all the lap dr's own stocks in Jello and broth. He he he.

LindaJ. 0 Posted January 22, 2008 Glad to hear from everyone. I really didn't have trouble with gas pains but still (banded 1/3/08) quite sore inside around the port incision. I know that the surgeon said he had some trouble and had to cut some muscles so I guess it's from that. sleeping at night is the worse discomfort. I guess lying down uses the cut muscles. I'll be glad when that goes away but I am able to walk and use the elliptical some.
mrs.sean 0 Posted January 22, 2008 I was banded 12/28/07 and I am still sore at the end of the day and when I bend certain ways. The Dr. said it's normal. Boy, I sure didn't realize how much I used those stomach muscles until I had the surgery! But, each day gets a bit better and then you get the start eating again and life gets more normal. I definately went through the "what in the world have I done to myself" phase. About the first 3 days. I was a self pay and that made if even worse, I was like, I paid how much for this? What was I thinking? I am three weeks post op now and doing much better. Hang in there, it gets better, soon!
