Twilight 2 Posted January 12, 2008 So I have heard a little about a "soft" stop that some people have experienced. I'm wondering if any of you have had a similar experience. I seem to be getting the hiccups a lot and wondering if that is mine. It seems like it is coming AFTER I've hit full and I should have stopped a couple of bites before hand. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks, Steph

Me, I just get this feeling like a pressure under my ribs. Dr said that is my signal that I am full. Danna:wink:
Alison_K 0 Posted January 12, 2008 Hello Steph! I get the hiccups a little bit after I get full and when I realize I'm eating a bit too fast. If it gets to that point I just stop myself and save whatever is left for another time. It's just not worth getting sick over..ya know? It'll always be there later if I'm still hungry. Although it's definitely not a fun feeling at the time, it works as a painful reminder that I can't eat as fast and as much as I did before which is what I did this for in the first place, right? Haha.
Twilight 2 Posted January 12, 2008 Alison, Come to think of it, I have been eating a lot faster than is probably healthy. I'll try slowing down and see if the hiccups resolve. Thanks
kyteachjules 0 Posted January 12, 2008 My doc and nutritionist tell me to stop eating when I'm not hungry anymore. So, I've been doing that... "full" isn't necessarily a good thing. I've only eaten once when I felt really, really full. And, I had these small bursts of air... not belches or hiccups, just little poofs. I assumed that meant I was full. Cerrin 3 Posted January 14, 2008 I burp. actualy Belch. Having eaten till the plate is clean all my life the burping helps me realize I am done.
plump_princess 1 Posted January 14, 2008 I am still struggling with this notion of "fullness", too.... Even without a fill, I go from not hungry to PB'ing in 3.2 seconds, so I am starting to learn to quit while I'm ahead... and stop eating when I've reached about 4 ounces.... which can be hard sometimes with that "head hunger" thing. ashabama 1 Posted January 14, 2008 I just know when I am full...it's also mental cause I get so tired of chewing I convince myself I am full as well. I just feel like I can't eat anymore set my timer so I will know when I can get something to drink and keep myself busy!
