I'm impressed with the little bit your eating. Are you at your "sweet spot" Where are you in this wonderful journey?

I do allow for Protein or Calcium Snacks also. Right now, I'm trying to get back on track, long story but it has to do with infections and finally getting healthy again. I have 3 cc's in a 4cc band...so I think I'm about there...I am feeling restriction once again, so that's good.

I've been told 1 c. or a little over is what we should be eating. I think part of my problem is there were days that I wasn't eating enough...so I may be adding to this. Also, keep in mind that this didn't include my dinner plans (I'm editing that thread after this post to include those).

Good luck to you on your journey!!!

Beckiet I love hummus now!

I don't have a calender to copy and paste but I'll post some of my typical daily intakes:

Propel - Strawberry-Kiwi Water, three bottles at 33.3 ounces

cheese melted - Parmesan cheese melted in the microwave until in cooks into a solid crispy cracker. Great source of Protein.

Dolmades - Greek grape leaves stuffed with herbs, rice and lamb.

ARUGALA!!!! Best leaf on the planet!

Soups: New England clam chowder, vegetable beef, chicken noodle, Avgolemono (Greek lemon soup), Egg Drop Soup, Won Ton soup, French onion (with cheese..yum)

Salads!!: Greek with feta cheese (be still my heart), Raspberry Vinegerette and springmix, Anything with KEN'S DRESSINGS!!

Bacon, and cheese (no bread)

Nathan's hot dogs and mustard (one dog no bread)

I eat based on my fullness sensation. If I had say..Cheerios for breakfast and had milk with that I'm full and good til about 1 or 2 when I get home from work. Then I'll have some cheese or a salad and all day I drink my Water.< /p>

No liquids with meals, nothing ice cold (that hurts). SLOW..I eat real slow. I swallow and pause between bites. This is how I avoid PBing.

What does PBing feel like? Remember that scene in 'ALIEN' where the alien bursts from the stomach of John Hurt? Yeah. That.

dinner depends on how I feel. If I had soup for lunch then I will most likely go for a solid for dinner like shrimp, pork chop, hamburger.

I usually eat quite a bit more than what I posted; It's that TOM and I'm tight. I PB'd the fish on Tuesday and the Caesar salad on Wednesday. So I'm eating VERY slow right now. I'm scheduled for a fill next week but if it doesn't let up, I may have to cancel and stick with my new found restriction. Right now I'm averaging about 800 cal a day. The problem is that I can't make it to the next meal w/o a snack.< /p>

I am getting back on track - until someone brough freaking OREOS into work today and I had about 8 or 9 of them... I'm so mad at them. Haha.

I typically have a shake in the mornings, either chocolate soy milk with scoop Protein Powder and tsp organic Peanut Butter or I'll do regular soy milk with Protein powder and a small banana.

lunch varies... an apple, a yogurt, light string cheese, couple tbsp sunflour seeds (dry roasted, not in oil!).

then dinner is like a veggie burger, some veggies, or I'm hooked on this organic veggie chili.

I do eat snack, usually one of the smaller South Beach Living bars or a string cheese. Though I'm currently working on replacing dairy in my diet, so that stuff will be gone soon. Trying more fruits and veggies, and natural nuts and seeds (not soaked in hydrogenated oils). I'm also working on becoming high fructose corn Syrup free... Its a struggle, but its for the greater good.

(freaking oreos...)

Suzzzie, I think we misspell Oreos...I think it's really a 4-letter word, not 5...

I understand...it's those things, especially chocolate this week...that get me slightly off track.

All, I think my getting back to meal planning and the port revision surgery have helped! I'm down 2.6 pounds since the 3rd and I'm now at 39+ gone!! The scales are moving well again...now maybe I can see the weight loss I should have seen during my infection time. My goal by July is to be 80 total gone, another 40.

Keep posting those plans! We can look back on them and see how we're doing.

Lap-Dancer, I also love hummus! There's this great authentic Mediterranean Cafe on my way back to work from my surgeon's office and they have the most amazing Hummus Plate. I stopped today and grabbed it and a little bit of tabbouleh.

Are you Greek? I am wondering where you are getting Dolmades? I am Greek. I am going to see my dad in Arizona next month and my mouth is watering thinking about them. I am wondering if the leaf is going to get stuck. I have a tight fill now. Where are you getting all this Greek food?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
