ashabama 1 Posted January 9, 2008 Okay so I had my surgery December the 21st 2007. I know I know right before Christmas!! But that's a totally different story!! I did okay...I was allergic to my pain pills so I had to go cold turkey on pain but I believe that it was for the best. I had my first check up last thursday and I have lost 21 lbs and I have already came of my blood pressure pills!! What a relief that was. If anything about my life was worrysome it was those blasted blood pressure pills at 19. My friends were always so nervous and worried about me and that wasn't a great feeling. Don't get me wrong it showed that they cared but I felt like a burden on them. But the not eating much thing has been rough. I was an emotional eater and during my first 2 weeks I went through some rough stuff and lots of stress because I took my finals the day before surgery and I was waiting on grades...rough let me tell you! But everything turned out great!! I am so excited that I found this site! I have been needing to get peoples opinnion and stories for support and comfort and this is such a blessing!! If anyone has any great recipes or wants to share their experience with me I am more than welcoming it!! Thanks so much!! Ashley
vkodaniel 0 Posted January 9, 2008 Hi, Reading your post makes me feel great. My surgery is scheduled for next Wed. and I am a nervous wreck. Of course the two week liquid diet I have been on since Jan. 2 has not helped my mental state at all. But, all is well I am working on breaking the devilish hold food has over me and when I do finally get to eat again, I am going to force myself to make better choices than I have in the past. Keep smiling and just take it one meal at a time:)
