He has never asked but I don't hide it either. I agree with the others who said it's obvious they are overweight... Kinda hard to hide 200+ Pounds hehe

Whenever I like someone and they like me I always tell them how much I weigh, if they don't like it tough crap on them. It doesn't mean I am not a fantastic person. Usually they don't mind though. So yeah whenever I am in a relationship with someone they know how much I weigh.

For YEARS DH didn't know what I weighed. When I looked into getting LB surgery he told me I didn't weigh enough for that! HA! I stepped in the scale and proved it...

Now - to the fun part. I can step on the scale and sing, "Nanny nanny boo boo, I weigh less than you."...I am so gleeful to get on the scale and weigh less than him. Now is the first time since I've know him that I'm actually smaller than him....hehehehehe.

My DH didn't know what I weighed pre surgery until about 3 months ago when I hit goal. He had maybe a thought but I never would tell him. Now he knows what I weigh because I am obsessive about it.....lol...

Absolutely not. I hate to say it, but if my husband knew he would give me a hard time. Once, about 10 years ago, I was in the hospital for a few days. There was a white board beside my bed and the nurse was supposed to write my weight on the board. Every night I would get up out of bed, even though it was difficult, and erase it. I don't think they ever knew why it kept disappearing.

I am going to have them write in my file not to discuss my weight with my husband; that during my sugery they can tell him how I am doing overall but not to discuss the number. I don't even get on the scales at my primary care physicians office. I had avoided going for doctor's visits because I didn't want to weigh, but my uncle, who is a doctor, told me I had the right to decline stepping on the scales. So I did. However, of course I weighed for my lap bad consult with the surgeon. That doctor and I are the only ones who know my weight. Now, what I have no problem telling is my age!

I never told my husband how much I weighed. To be honest I think it was more of myself keeping it from ME than from HIM. If I said it out loud and admitted my weight to him, I'd have to admit it to myself as well. I didn't even weigh myself for years until I absolutely needed to.

I did tell him before my surgery because I was waking up to the truth myself. He was very kind and loving about it. He is my biggest motivator and cheerleader. I am so glad to be that open with him because I have someone to confide in about that. Thank God for him!

Telecia, your husband is not "morbidly" obese. He is obese however.

Hi all I posted before that my DH has no idea how much I weigh and he doesn't ask.

However, I am going to tell him when I reach onederland. My heaviest was 262, the date of suregery I was 248, hopefully in another month I will be 200 or below. I get my official weigh in tonight. I think I am down another 15lbs. I'll let you all know.

My wife, daughter and in-laws know how much I weigh. They all congratulate me when a milestone has been reached and I find that to be a really positive experience. An example, just come back from visiting my in-laws - told them about reaching Onederland and they were really pleased and interested.

I used to keep my weight a secret, but once I got over 300 lbs, it seemed sorta stupid. I mean, I was the size of a small house. Anyone who couldn't see how fat I was had a vision problem.

So my hubby has always known my weight if I did. I became too fat to weigh at the doctor's. whose scale only went to 350. By the time they got scales that weighted to 400. I was well past it. Finally they got a scale to weigh me, and by then I had lost enough that I only weighed 432. Now I weigh 404.

I am working towards getting a band, and I hope to lose 30-50 pounds more by the time I get banded.

mindwing:shades_smile:

I'm single but voted "no" b/c I know I wouldn't tell anyone. I had to go back 8 years and a PCP in another city to have my weight history b/c I didn't even weigh at the doc's.

My family is obsessed with weight so I hope and pray that I can keep my weight from my parents during my surgery; esp my obese father. I guess it's OK for him to be big but not me. My 36 yo brother is 6'5" and 175 lbs; wth is that?!? He has always been slender his entire life. Sooooo unfair! I'm 5'4" so hopefully I can weigh less than he does eventually!!!
