I want to lose 10 pounds from by Jan 26th. I have a friend getting married and I really want that. However, I hit the wall recently. So wish me luck.

My next goal is from the 26th to Memorial Day is 30 pounds. I am going to a conference and would really like to be down. :help:

My goal is to be healthy. I'd like to lose to 135 pounds at the most. I'm 90 pounds away. I was banded 0n 12-11-07. So I'm still new to this.

Long term, I want to get down to 60-65kg (132-143lb) which would be a total loss of 60-65kg (starting weight 125kg/275lb). Yes, I want to be exactly half the person I was! Short term goal is to get below 90kg/200lb by June, as I'm going to the US on holidays then and want to meet a lot of people that I know online and DON'T want to do that at this size!

My first goal is to be in ONEderland by 4/5. That's 22.1 lbs ... I *think* it's doable. I'm not sure about mini goals and dates after that.

I think I'm weird because I'm sitting here trying to plan a goal . . . and I just don't know . . . I'm feeling better in my hip and my knee because of what I have lost . . . I just (finally) got cleared by my PCP so I can use the equipment at the gym I joined . . . and I just want to keep doing what I'm supposed to and be able to see progress in my monthly pictures. It took me 30 years to put all this weight on . . . I'm HOPING to get most of it off by my 1 year banniversary.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
