It's not me, lots of people like to follow our posts, I don't look at other months' groups, but I assume we probably talk A LOT compared to others lol.

Our own reality show!!

I'm so flattered you guys would want to come all the way out here!

I would think Birmingham airport is closer, but not sure. Huntsville airport is wonderful though, it's small and only has 1 terminal with like 10 gates.. so flying out at least is a breeze.

Depending on where on the lake you're going, it's about 1.5 hours away.

Actually, looking at Terri's post, this place (Never seen this one before, but it's gorgeous, looks like you're actually ON the lake) says it is 35 miles from Huntsville, and the road down there is all interstate, 70mph.. so shouldn't be that far.

If I fly out of Detroit, it's non-stop to Huntsville and less than a 2 hour flight. Let's get this nailed down so I can book a flight!!! :):tongue2:

Jane---I forgot to even check the mail today, so out I run and there it was!!! Yay!!!! Thank you so much!!! I put it up in the entertainment center with my others!!! Hugs!!!!

So.....Laura's baby will be born what, late March, early April??? I get a grandson in December or January, and this baby then, I am gonna be on a Granny High!!!

I have no issue at all changing it to go to Alabama!!! Never been before, so it will be a new one for me! Judy we can meander by the Water together----us Grandma's!!! LOL

I remember the heebie jeebie feelings as well.....I know now it sounds so silly, but I remember thinking the craziest things...

I am walking across the parking lot, and I am pregnant!!!

I am taking a shower, and I am pregnant!!!

I am shopping for groceries and I am pregnant!!!

Everything took on new meaning, at least for awhile, then I settled in to it, but the awe was just overwhelming especially at first. When I told my DD that, she laughed, said she thought the same kind of things!

I too have noticed lots of extra viewers. Plus the one who follows me around......aarrggh!

Well I am off to bed, I am leaving early, and for some reason am all wound up tonight.

Night girls!

Kat

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
