Hey girlies~

A wee bit tired after a great party last night. The place was packed and fun was had by all. I made out too. I got 2 necklaces, earrings AND a Bracelet for hosting the party! I was up late...the Gruene Margies are a HIT! I am the designated MARGIE MAKER at the end of the year party! I guess next Friday we are having our end of year TGIF and then on Mon. the 16th we have a HUGE blowout at the great house that overlooks all of Palm Springs! That is our annual...get a designated driver...party. We all end up in the pool and if you don't walk in, you'll get pushed in! Anyway, I should get to stop drinking after the 16th. LOL...I actually consider myself a non drinker, but I am gonna have to upgrade to a social drinker:biggrin:. It is funny, I'll go months w/o a drink, but every spring...seems to be partys and functions that warrant spirits! Anyway, it's been fun around here!

Today, I get to be Aunt Pam Pam and am going up to see my brother, who lives about 30 min away. He works in PS so is here everyday. We are going out to eat, then while he shows his clients a few houses, my little nephew will go to the parK!! Looking forward to seeing his little face!

Speaking of faces...I miss ya'lls face (s)! I hope Terri, Kat and Laura are having fun on their weekends. The rest of us will hold down the fort!

Tracy...have fun on your day "off". I am gonna take a nap now...that is my idea of fun!

Pammie-are you awake yet?

I was so sad that Big Brown did not win the triple crown. I was hoping Laura would get to see a little history!

Have a great evening violets!

We're back from fishing. I caught a nice size small mouth bass, Kris caught 3 and the Bobster won the prize for catching a HUGE bass. 18" and 3.5# We are a catch and release family so no fish to clean tonight..

The chocolate mousse is made and yes, I had a little bit, but didn't go overboard. There is a ton left for the derby tomorrow.

Sorry Big Brown didn't win. Bet Laura had fun anyway. she'll have tales to tell us when she gets back.

Pam EL a... hope you had fun with your nephew.

Going to go have a Weight Watchers dinner and then get ready for the hot tub and bed. It was 90 here today. My pool is up to 74. Getting close!!

Hey Everyone~ (terribly quiet around here) Hope everyone is having a nice weekend! I love Saturdays, my fav. Had an interesting day. I went up to see my brother (he lives in the high desert, and his house is the 2nd one from a big beautiful mountain where he and Johnny go dirt bike riding). Well, the damn mountain was on fire! I mean bad...I left when he was under volunteering evacuation! We sat out front w/ all the neighbors staring at the fire. I left about 6pm and it was nearly contained...but was a long day!

I had a PB on a baby carrot! OMG...that one hurt. Then I had one at lunch and a small one at dinner. On a baby carrot??? That shocked me! I thought I was pretty open!

Well I've been watching Army Wives this evening, on Lifetime...can't wait for the new season tomorrow!!!

Have a great night! Sorry to hear about Big Brown...but I am sure Laura had a nice time!

Well here I am after a looong day. I went to work early this morning, then went straight to a friends house for her sons graduation party. She lives about 1 1/2 hours away, it is no problem getting there, but coming home I kept thinking I am never going to make it, now all the caffeine is kicking in!!! Guess I will check my emails and go to bed. I hope everyone is having a good weekend!! TracyK any luck at the casino?? Laura may not have seen history made, but she could come up one RICH girl if she bet right!!!

Okay off I go...............

Good Morning, Violets..

I'm headed to church for Gospel Sunday. My choir wears denim shirts with the church logo on it for this special day. Last year I was wearing a men's XXL and it was tight in the belly. This year I'm wearing a women's XL and it's loose all over except the belly. But I'm wearing it proudly with a pair of size 14 khakis.

It's gonna be a hot one again today, but I won't be as uncomfortable as I was a year ago.

Everyone have a great day!!

I like to remember back a year ago and remember what sizes I used to wear too...unbelievable isn't it? All of us have done such a fantastic job!

Pam-sorry about the fire but hopefully it was contained before any homes were damaged, was it?

Jane-we had fun. We weren't there long because we could just tell it was a lost cause. You know how sometimes you can either hear the winning or not...well, we did not hear anything so we just stayed for a little while, had some lunch and came home. We had fun though.

I lost track on my work day countdown...I am not really good at it like Judy is. Lets see...I will do workdays, that will be more fun. 19 :)

Warm and muggy here right now. Calling for storms later. Oh Great. Lots of flooding going on around here with the rivers cresting. We live in a high spot so no problem for us. But if you've never smelt an area that's been flooded by the stinky Missouri river, your lucky.

Pam, yesterday I grabbed a handfull of baby carrots to snack on and was amazed that they plugged me up. I had thought I had chewed them good enough but was surprized. Why can't ice cream do that to me???????

Judy, Great feeling isn't it??? Thinking back on where we were a year ago and how our clothes don't fit anymore. I like the compliments I get now that my old tight clothes are too loose on me now.

My 3 year old niece is coming to spend the day with me today. Her parents are separating and moving out of the house today and they wanted to know if I would keep her out of the way. I'm thinking a walk down to the school playground would be good for both of us. Think I'll pick up some neighborhood kids along the way.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Good Sunday Morn, Vi's~~

It is hot, hot, HOT here... upper 90s, w/"heat index" in the "triple digits" (gotta love weatherman lingo!). Have the AC cranked & will probably visit the pool later. It's too early in the summer to be this hot!

I am eating OUT OF CONTROL!! I am trying to examine WHY. This is what I've come up with: #1: DS "graduating" 8th grade & moving into HS. I really think that this is bothering me more than I realized. He's always been my "little buddy" and, while he still is, he's a very good teen... not too much teen angst/crankiness/"I hate my parents" from him, very little, actually... there's still the natural separation & I'm a bit melancholy. and #2: Prices/money/the state of the union. It's ironic that as TracyK is getting out of her job, I'm seriously considering trying to get one -- a "real" one, not just at Starbucks or something. Just this morning at Breakfast DH told me that our mortgage company sent us a letter saying that because of the declining price of homes, our line of credit (read: our safety net) has been reduced... basically from about $60K to NOTHING! I think I said, "Pass me the bacon." It's scary. I realize both of these things are out of my control, and that eating will not make them any better, but it makes me FEEL better, or not feel at all, depending... so I'm glad that I am aware, and can consciously choose OTHER ways to deal... exercise, working, whatever... but it's still getting to me.

There, I feel better for having typed it out & acknowledging it. "Hi, my name is Michelle and I'm a worrier!"

Sorry I'm a downer. Bleh. I need a Gruene 'Rita!

Morning Girls~

Man, I am so pissed. I slept in until 7, did dishes, 2 loads of laundry, cleaning about here and there...and TOTALLY MISSED THE TENNIS MATCH I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! Damn, I guess it was a good one too. Federer lost and Nadal won but I wanted to see it:mad::incazzato:.

Michelle~ Big hug girl! I don't have any pearls of wisdom for your blues...just hate that you have 'em! And yes, I concur, a Gruene margie cures all the blues! Whatever you do...STAY AWAY FROM THE CARROTS (huh Susie).

I've got to clean the dog poop. When your dog is 140 pounds the poops are muy grande! Have a great day!

Hot as hell here...so gonna do the poop now!

Michelle-I hear ya sister! My deal is that it was really a hard pill for me to swallow to realize that after 18 years with my job, I was not contibuting one red cent to the household and on top of that, I was paying a daycare and missing out on macys life. I had gotten as far as I was going to get with a sorry company that does not appreciate their employees. So I am using this opportunity to spend the summer with macy, regroup everything, and maybe even start over in the workforce. I am SO done with that job and am looking forward to the unknown. Everything about me has changed and my job I am qutting now is the last peice of the "morbidly obese" Tracy. Kind of scarey but WAY exciting! You are a positive kind of person, so just flip it around and tell yourself that you are ready to met a new challenge (work or whatever) head on!!

Pammie-sorry you missed the tennis match :incazzato:

Back from the yard work...the poop, sweeping, and of course playing Water w/ my baby! He is old, but jumps through the air to get water. It is 104 here today, so I always water him down. It is kinda fun, I was out there in my panties only:tt1:...playing in the water w/ him! I've done 4 loads of laundry, ran an errand, did dishes...blahblahblah...anything but homework. I am gonna play in a scrabble tourney now...and then, I'll take a mini nap and then homework.

Tracy~Great way to spin things. The last piece of the old you...how refreshing!

Have a great day!

TRACYKS, I just got my first email from somebody, just responded back. I set myself up on Yahoo personals, and that is where he responded from. I don't have pictures up, so I told him to go to match.com and see what you posted!! At least I have broken the ice.

Thanks:smile:

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
